With close to $60 million in total sales volume, a wide variety of Steamboat neighborhoods embraced strong transactions. The total sales for the month included four transactions valuing over $4 million each further determining that the luxury market is still riding a strong current of buyers and sellers. The average transaction price in Routt County is showing a great rise in value for ski resort property at $676,330.

The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (EESA)
Posted October 06, 2008I wanted to do a quick summary of the new bill in terms that everyone can understand.Read full article →First, EESA makes available up to $700 Billion to the Secretary of the Treasury to purchase loans from financial institutions. $250 Billion is available immediately and the additional $450 Billion is available with additional provisions. This will free up money for the financial institutions to then loan out the money again. The hopes are that this will make borrowing easier for consumers and businesses.
The EESA requires the Treasury to modify troubled loans to allow people to stay in their homes. It also improves the HOPE for homeowners program which helps people keep their homes.
