Congratulations to Dr. Jim Dudley and Steve Dawes on their community efforts for the 2010 Doc Willett Health Care Heritage Awards. Thanks for being such an integral part of our community.
Dr.Dudley will receive his award for 2010 Health Care Professional of the Year, and Dawes will receive his award for 2010 Health Care Advocate at the second annual appreciation night Sept. 1 at the Strings Music Pavilion.
Doc Willett was an infamous character in the Yampa Valley, making house calls in horse-drawn buggy or delivering babies in rural ranches during winter. He was a local legend, and today these two men exemplify all that Doc Willett stood for.
